In undertaking this applied economics degree you will develop strong analytical, quantitative, computing, and communication skills with an emphasis on commodity markets, trade, and agricultural and natural resource issues.

Half of your units of study will be taken in the Faculty of Economics and Business and most of the economics and commerce units are available to Agricultural Economics students. Access to accounting units depends on your UAI. Modern language units are available to Agricultural Economics students.

The program provides excellent qualifications for you to enter finance and business. You will gain research skills highly regarded by employers in fourth year through the completion of a research thesis or a set of research exercises.
